Reaction to Punch story

Press Statement.
Our attention has been drawn to misleading reports in several media outlets of an alleged crisis within the National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party over the re-branding project currently being handled by messrs CMC Connect/Newage Communications.

The story being mischievously circulated is that the Party has refused to honour it’s payment obligations to the consortium. There is no truth whatsoever in this story.

The facts on ground are that the PDP has a contractual agreement with CMC/Newage for the execution of the re-branding project spelt out in specific phases.

The activities for the second edition of the Gulder Five-A-Side Soccer competition have started. Regional screening for participation in the most entertaining football talent show would effectively kick-off across the country on July 19 with zonal preliminaries at seven locations in the North, Central, South, East, Mid- West, and Lagos.

Gulder Ultimate Five –A-side Soccer Competition Returns

Arrangements have been concluded for the media launch of the much awaited 2nd annual national Gulder Ultimate Five-A-side Soccer (GUFAS) competition. According to the organizers, the event holds on Tuesday, June 21, 2011at the Iganmu Lagos, corporate headquarters of the Nigerian Breweries Plc.

The launch which has been scheduled for 11am, will officially kick-start the football tournament that is expected to create a perfect platform for talented players across the country to showcase their football skills to both local and international scouts for raw football talents. Those expected at the media launch includes ex Nigerian national team player and present National Under 23 Coach Austin Eguavoen. Others will be top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, the sporting media, brand writers and photo journalists.
